Web Development and Software Solutions

SCS Technologies' Web Development & Software Solutions practice gives clients a single accountable partner for the full stack — from fiber in the wall to the application on the screen. Custom web apps, integrations, dashboards, field-tech tools, and corporate sites, all built with the same engineering discipline we bring to physical infrastructure.

At SCS Technologies, our work doesn't stop at cables, racks, and access points. The same engineering discipline we bring to physical infrastructure is what we bring to the digital systems that run on top of it. Our Web Development & Software Solutions practice exists to give clients a single, accountable partner for the full stack — from the fiber in the wall to the application on the screen.

Why integrate web & software with infrastructure?

Most IT problems we see in the field are not pure network problems or pure software problems — they are integration problems. A surveillance system that won't surface footage to the right dashboard. A scheduling app that can't talk to the access-control reader. A site that runs fine over the corporate LAN and crawls on the guest VLAN. By owning both layers, we eliminate the "it's their side, not ours" finger-pointing that slows projects down.

What we build

  • Custom web applications — secure, role-based portals for clients, technicians, and field crews.
  • Marketing & corporate websites — fast, responsive, SEO-ready sites built on Laravel, WordPress, or static frameworks where appropriate.
  • Internal dashboards & back-office tools — inventory, scheduling, asset tracking, and reporting interfaces tailored to how a team actually works.
  • API and system integrations — connecting CRMs, ERPs, ticketing, BMS/IoT devices, and third-party services so data moves automatically instead of via spreadsheet.
  • Mobile & field-tech apps — purpose-built tools for technicians on site: site surveys, install checklists, signature capture, photo logging.

Our stack

We pick the right tool for the job rather than forcing every client into the same template. Most production work uses Laravel on the server side with MySQL or PostgreSQL, Filament or Livewire for admin interfaces, and modern JavaScript (Vue, Alpine, or vanilla) on the front end. We deploy to cPanel, AWS, DigitalOcean, or on-prem — whatever fits the customer's compliance and budget profile.

How we approach a project

  1. Discovery. We sit with the people who will actually use the system, document their day, and identify the bottlenecks software can remove.
  2. Scope & estimate. A fixed-scope, fixed-price phase 1 wherever possible — no open-ended "agile" billing surprises.
  3. Build & review. Weekly demos against a real staging URL. You see progress every week, not on a slide deck at the end.
  4. Hardening & launch. Security review, accessibility check, performance audit, content migration, and a documented cutover plan.
  5. Support. Optional retainer for bug fixes, small enhancements, security patches, and capacity planning.

Security and reliability are not extras

Because SCS Technologies serves government, education, and enterprise clients, every site or application we ship goes through the same hygiene checklist: HTTPS by default, prepared statements only (no string-concatenated SQL), CSRF and XSS protection enabled, password hashing with current best-practice algorithms, principle-of-least-privilege on the database user, automatic off-site backups, and a documented incident-response runbook. Nothing in this list is "premium." It's the floor.

Who we work with

We've delivered web and software work for municipal agencies, K-12 and higher-education clients, healthcare facilities, retail and hospitality groups, and other infrastructure integrators who outsource their software arm to us. If you already work with SCS on cabling, Wi-Fi, surveillance, or access control, you can extend that relationship into your digital systems with one PO and one point of contact.
