Smart Structured Cabling Solutions for Modern Businesses
Structured cabling is the engineered foundation under every phone, camera, AP, badge reader, and server on your network. SCS Technologies has been designing, installing, and certifying copper and fiber systems since 1999 — to TIA/BICSI standards, with full test reports, as-builts, and 25-year manufacturer warranties.
The reliability of every device on your network — phones, access points, cameras, controllers, badge readers, servers — ultimately depends on the cabling that connects them. At SCS Technologies, structured cabling is not a commodity install. It is the engineered foundation we have been designing, certifying, and supporting since 1999.
What is structured cabling?
Structured cabling is a standards-based system of cables, connectors, racks, patch panels, and pathways that delivers voice, data, video, and building-system traffic across a campus or facility. Done right, it stays in service for fifteen to twenty-five years and supports several generations of active equipment without being touched.
Where we install
- Commercial & corporate offices — tenant fit-outs, renovations, and new construction.
- Data centers — overhead trays, fiber backbones, MDA/HDA layout, and patch-cord management to 25/40/100 G.
- Government & education — federal buildings, K-12 districts, universities, public libraries.
- Healthcare — clinical and administrative areas, life-safety low-voltage, isolated power room runs.
- Hospitality, retail, warehouse — hotels, restaurants, distribution centers, manufacturing floors.
What we deliver
- Copper — Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, and Cat 8 for office, data center, and PoE-heavy applications.
- Fiber — Single-mode and multi-mode (OM3 / OM4 / OM5) backbones, riser, and inter-building runs; fusion splicing, LC/SC/MTP termination.
- Coaxial — RG-6, RG-11 for CATV, distribution, and certain security applications.
- Pathways & supports — cable tray, J-hooks, conduit, firestopping, sleeves, and core drilling, all installed to code.
- Racks & enclosures — Ortronics, Chatsworth (CPI), Panduit, Hubbell, Leviton, Legrand — anchored, bonded, and labeled.
Designed to standards, not to hope
Every system we install is designed against the relevant TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, and manufacturer specifications. We pull permits, we coordinate with the electrician, the GC, and the IT team, and we document the work. No "we'll figure it out in the field."
Tested & certified — every single run
We certify every drop with a Fluke or comparable tester and hand you the results. You receive a CSV/PDF report showing wire-map, length, return loss, NEXT, PSNEXT, ELFEXT, propagation delay, and skew for every cable — passing the manufacturer's performance category. That report is what unlocks a 25-year application warranty from Ortronics / CommScope / Superior Essex.
What you also get from us
- As-built drawings — accurate floor plans showing every drop, jack ID, and cable route.
- Labeling — every cable, jack, and patch panel labeled per ANSI/TIA-606, both ends, machine-printed.
- Cable-management discipline — bundled, dressed, supported, and bend-radius compliant. Open the rack a year from now and it still looks like the day we left.
- Manufacturer warranty registration — we register the system so the warranty is on file and traceable.
- Project closeout package — test reports, drawings, BOM, warranty, and contact for change orders.
Why SCS Technologies
- In-house, BICSI-trained technicians — no day-laborers, no rotating subs.
